Brooklyn Nets had to face the best team in the NBA without their three superstar players Wednesday as Steve Nash’s team succumbed to a 118-88 loss to the Utah Jazz.

After the game, Steve Nash shared his thoughts on James Harden’s injury as the Nets’ superstar was out with a neck issue vs. Utah.

“I’m hoping it’s short term. To be honest, I’m sure James would’ve wanted to play… I don’t think it’s safe for him to play, and sometimes you have to protect him from himself. He’s such a warrior and competitor,” Nash said per Brian Lewis of NY Post.

According to Nash, Harden is considered a day-to-day as he is having one of the best seasons of his career since he joined Brooklyn.

The Brooklyn superstar averages 25.3 points, 11.2 assists and 7.9 rebounds through 35 games this season, while he’s shooting 46-percent from the field and nearly 36-percent from deep.
