Charlotte Hornets rookie LaMelo Ball underwent surgery on his fractured right wrist on Tuesday and will be re-evaluated in four weeks, leaving the possibility for him to return this season.

The 19-year-old guard suffered an injury against the Los Angeles Clippers on March 20 after landing hard on his wrist.

In 41 games, Ball was averaging 15.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, 6.1 assists, and 1.6 steals per game while shooting 45.1 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from three-point.

The No.3 pick of the 2020 NBA Draft after the surgery was in a good and positive mood and delighted his fans with an Instagram live about his well-being.
