Kemba Walker was interviewed postgame following the Boston Celtics’ 121-119 loss vs. the Milwaukee Bucks. Media members asked him about Daniel Theis’ final shot to win the game. “Definitely a tough loss,” Walker said.
The 30-year-old point guard did say that the Celtics played with some solid energy and effort down the stretch, though. He sounded defeated during the interview as the Celtics dropped another close game. They’ve been notably bad in the clutch all season long.
He then went on to talk about the slow starts Boston has been dealing with this season. “I think that we just let frustration get to us early,” Walker said.
He said that he let it get to him early on, and as a leader, he can’t let that happen. Walker said that “as a leader, I got to be better,” and he talked to his teammates about that after the game.
Walker dropped 23 points (9-18 FG, 5-9 3Pt), six assists, three steals, two rebounds, and a block across 35 minutes in the loss to the Bucks.
