New Orleans Pelicans All-Star Zion Williamson has left the door open on a potential debut in the 2021 NBA Slam Dunk Contest on March 7.

“Who knows? That’s all I can say,” Williamson told reporters Wednesday. “Who knows? I might. You never know.”

Williamson, 20, was named a Western Conference All-Star reserve on Feb. 23, the first All-Star appearance of his young career.

It’s no secret that Williamson is one of the most exciting dunkers in the NBA because of his pure strength and jumping ability for someone his size.

Based on his comments and not immediately turning it down, it seems as if he’s putting some serious thought into giving the fans what they want to see.

Williamson is currently averaging 25.1 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game in 29 games.
