Washington Wizards star guard Bradley Beal will not play on Feb. 12 against the New York Knicks for rest, the team announced.

The Wizards are currently in the middle of a stretch of 16 games in 27 days.

Beal resting next game gives him three consecutive days off, which he wouldn’t have at any point otherwise in February, notes Fred Katz of The Athletic.

The 27-year-old has played in all but one game this season and ranks 16th in minutes per game (35.3) in the NBA.

Beal leads the league in scoring, averaging 32.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.3 steals per game, while shooting 46.8 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from three-point.
