Shaquielle McKissic is one of the players that have improved in Olympiacos and so the two sides have decided to extend the player’s contract until 2023, per the club’s announcement.

McKissic had expressed his desire to stay in Piraeus and extend his contract with the club. The American has been one of Olympiacos’ most consistent players in the Euroleague and the player decided to renew his contract until the summer of 2023.

In his first words after his contract extension with Olympiacos, McKissic said:

“It’s such an incredible feeling. I’m so grateful that I’ll get to play again in front of Olympiacos’ fans. The bond that we have in this club with the fans is incredible. Being in such a beautiful country like Greece and living in a city that I can call my home is something that can’t be compared to anything. I feel safe and calm here. I don’t feel any pressure. I haven’t felt any pressure since my first Greek derby against Panathinaikos. Since then everything just seems a lot easier for me. That’s the place I wanna be, I feel happy here. I think that I still feel butterflies in my stomach even though I have already signed my contract extension, just by thinking about the future. It’s seriously exciting”.
