Carmelo Anthony of the Portland Trail Blazers believes the 2021 NBA All-Star game should not be in the NBA’s calendar this season.

The Blazers’ forward does not agree with the proposal of holding the All-Star Game on March in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

“I don’t think it’s right. I don’t think we need it right now. It’ll be good to recognize those that got chosen to be an All Star….But I just think it’s a little bit too much in a short period of time,” Anthony told reporters.

The NBA and the NBPA have reportedly agreed to host the 2021 NBA All-Star Game on Mar. 7 in Atlanta. Several players, including LeBron James and Kemba Walker, who opposed to the idea of playing in an All-Star Game this season.
