Dennis Schroder had 21 points and was just behind LeBron James, who had 27 points as the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Denver Nuggets. The German point guard was also a big factor in defense. His hard-playing was appreciated by head coach Frank Vogel.

He remembered a situation during the game, when Schroder dived on the floor to take the loose ball. According to Vogel, the way that Schroder plays the game matches well with the Laker’s identity.

“Anytime a player dives on the floor for a loose ball in front of his coach, that’s going to excite the coach. We definitely look for that kind of hustle. Dennis fits in to our identity as being a really hard-playing dude,” Vogel said per Ryan Ward.
