Los Angeles Lakers head coach Frank Vogel is hoping to have Dennis Schröder back in action for his team’s two final regular season games.

Schröder has been in the league’s health and safety protocols since May 2 missing five games for the Los Angeles franchise so far.

“We’re really still hopeful that he can return for the final two games—or one of those final two games—to get a little bit of run before we enter playoff play,” Vogel told the reporters, per OCR.

“And he’s limited, obviously, with what he can do from a conditioning standpoint but just trying to make the best of it.”

The Lakers have four games remaining in the regular season being one game behind the sixth-seeded Portland Trail Blazers.

Schröder has been an integral part of the Lakers’ plans this season averaging 15.5 points, 5.8 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.2 steals through 59 appearances with the ‘Purple and Gold’.
