Shooting guard Dakota Mathias, who played eight games for the Philadelphia 76ers this season, will join Team USA for the FIBA AmeriCup 2022 Qualifiers, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.
Mathias will be joined by former NBA All-Stars Joe Johnson and Isaiah Thomas on Team USA’s roster.
The 25-year-old was on a two-way contract with the 76ers before being waived earlier this month.
In the eight games with the 76ers (two starts), Mathias averaged 6.0 points and 1.6 assists per game in 15.4 minutes per game.
