Marcus Smart addressed the final play of the game against the Detroit Pistons, where Jayson Tatum hit the game-winner for the Celtics (122-120).

Smart said Blake Griffin guarding Tatum was exactly what the Celtics wanted in the final play.

“Marcus Smart said Boston got “exactly what we wanted” with Blake Griffin being switched onto Jayson Tatum for the final Celtics possession. Tatum had little trouble shaking Griffin to bury the game-winning shot,” Tim Bontemps of ESPN reports.

Smart and the Celtics bounced back from their loss to Detroit on Friday and split wins with the Pistons in that two-game set.
