2007 NBA Finals MVP Tony Parker joined Ryen Russillo’s Podcast last month and reminisced on the championship run.

Parker recalled a moment during the series when he realized a European-born player had never won a Most Valuable Player Award.

The Frenchman said once he found that out, he locked in and made a tremendous effort to complete the job, making history for all of Europe.

“I was realizing that I could become the first European, so I just wanted to stay laser focused and finish the job.”
