On a recent episode of the Road Trippin’ podcast, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James shared an unknown story about him wanting Luka Doncic to be his first signing of “Team LeBron” — a new shoe brand under Nike.
With the Dallas Mavericks set to face the Lakers on Christmas Day, Doncic was asked about LeBron’s quote. The 21-year-old Slovenian admitted that he saw it and felt special.
“I felt special,” Doncic said Wednesday, per Mark Medina of USA Today Sports. “Somebody sent it to me. That’s how I got to know it. It’s something special. It’s something I can’t explain.”
