Houston Rockets star James Harden has been fined $50,000 for violating the NBA’s health and safety protocols, the league announced on Wednesday night.

Videos showing Harden at a party without a mask appeared on social media on Wednesday leading to an NBA investigation.

The 2018 MVP has tested negative on three straight COVID-19 tests on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday being available for the Houston Rockets’ opener vs. Oklahoma City.

However, the game was postponed as the Rockets did not have enough active players to participate. Harden has asked out of Houston a few weeks back presenting several preferred destinations such as Brooklyn, Philadelphia and Miami.

Harden arrived late on Rockets’ training back getting to play in just one preseason game. Now, there’s the possibility of him missing multiple regular-season games depending on how long the league requires him to quarantine.
