Montrezl Harrell and Dennis Schroder set a new franchise record in their season debut with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Harrell and Schroder posted a double-double, but could not help their team avoid the 116-109 loss to the Clippers in the season opener.
Harrell had 17 points (6/7 shooting) and 10 rebounds, while Schroder added 14 points (5/15 shooting), 12 boards and eight assists.
As a result, Harrell and Schroder became the first teammates to each get a double-double in their Lakers debuts since LeBron James and Rajon Rondo on October 18, 2018, against the Trail Blazers, per Matthew Moreno of Lakers Nation.
