With the Miami Heat’s unexpected success this season, what can we expect the Heat to be like next season? Well, that’s quite a tough question to answer but let’s break it down.

First of all, the Heat have a very similar roster, still, to what they had last season. They still have Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, who are their two main players and they have made some nice additions too. They picked up Maurice Harkless and Avery Bradley who can add some depth to the roster but they, unfortunately, lost Jae Crowder and Justise Winslow. All in all, their roster is neither better nor worse, in my opinion.

But then it’s important to look at their competition this season as well. The Bucks will be as strong as they always are, and Giannis will only get better. The Celtics should improve as well, as their roster is fairly young. The Nets could be a big problem, with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving being back healthy as well. But they’re the only three teams that I’d say are better than the Heat. The East is looking fairly weak for this upcoming season.

In terms of skill, the Heat are a similar level to the Pacers, Raptors, 76ers and Wizards and, in a 7 game series, I would have the Heat as the favourite for each. Jimmy Butler has shown how great he really is and if he can play like that again this upcoming season, then I see no reason as to why he can’t lead the Heat to another Finals appearance. It’s a tough challenge, but I think Jimmy and the Heat are up for it.
