The Portland Trail Blazers started their preseason schedule with a win against the Sacramento Kings. Carmelo Anthony was in impressive form, as he came off the bench to lead Portland with 21 points.

After the game, Anthony was asked about the feeling of not being a starter for the first time in his career. The Blazers’ veteran star was 8-13 from the field making three three-pointers in his 23-minute participation in the game.

“I went out there approaching the game the same way,” Melo said. “It’s basketball skill reasons coming off the bench, It’s what’s best for the actual team in this environment.”

“It was a different emotion, a different feeling, but once you get past that, it’s basketball,” the Blazers’ superstar said.

The Blazers are scheduled to play on Monday again, facing the Sacramento Kings for the second time in a row.
