The Charlotte Hornets have decided to waive veteran forward Nicolas Batum, as Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
The Hornets made that decision in order to have the cap flexibility to sign Gordon Hayward, who has agreed to a four-year, $120M deal with Charlotte.
Batum, who was set to earn $27.1M next season, is expected to attract interest from several teams.
