The NBA has postponed the 2021 All-Star weekend in Indianapolis until February 2024, the league and the Indiana Pacers announced.
The event, which was originally scheduled for Feb. 12-14, 2021, will now take place Feb. 16-18, 2024.
“While we are disappointed that the NBA All-Star Game will not take place in Indianapolis in 2021, we are looking forward to the Pacers and the city hosting the game and surrounding events in 2024,” said NBA Commissioner Adam Silver. “I want to thank Herb Simon, Steve Simon, Rick Fuson and the entire Pacers organization as well as the NBA All-Star 2021 Host Committee and the community of Indianapolis for working with us to reschedule our All-Star activities.”
With the 2021 All-Star Game postponed, here are the All-Star Game locations for the next few years:
- 2021: Postponed to 2024
- 2022: Cleveland, Ohio (70th All-Star Game)
- 2023: Salt Lake City, Utah (71st All-Star Game)
- 2024: Indianapolis, Indiana (72nd All-Star Game)
This upcoming season will be the first time since 1999 that there won’t be an All-Star Game.
