The devastating news of Klay Thompson’s serious injury, which will keep him away from basketball for another season, was a huge blow for everyone in the NBA, but especially for the Golden State Warriors.

Stephen Curry reflected on his Splash Brother’s injury in a phone interview Monday night with The San Francisco Chronicle, as he is still speechless by the latest event.

“Yeah, there’s not much to say,” Curry said. “It’s just tragic for a guy as talented and hungry as Klay to come back from his ACL (injury), and all that took, and now he has to wait another year. There are no real words to put that in context.”

Thompson sustained the injury to his right Achilles during a pickup game in Los Angeles on Wednesday. After an MRI exam, it was revealed that the Warriors’ superstar will be sidelined for the entire 2020/21 season.

The Warriors were expecting Stephen Curry and Thompson to return to the roster healthy and lead the team to another title.
