Julio Lamas has taken to Twitter to announce his resignation from the Argentinian national team.
It comes following the South American side’s FIBA World Cup, second round exit at the hands of bitter rivals Brazil.
He mentioned in the tweet that he will begin a new chapter and that he will always have Argentina in his heart.
Lamas is linked with an assistant coach’s position at the Philadelphia 76ers. The outgoing Argentine coach is good friends with current 76ers coach and former Australia playcaller Brett Brown.
