The New York Knicks are moving up in Wednesday’s NBA draft after they acquired the No. 23 pick from the Utah Jazz in exchange for the No. 27 and No. 38 pick, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Knicks moved up four spots from No. 27 to No. 23 and now possess the Nos. 8 and 23 draft picks.

This move strengthens their ability to package the two picks to target another pick or player above them on the board tonight, Wojnarowski notes.

The Jazz also sent the draft rights to 2008 draft pick Ante Tomic, 33, but he isn’t expected to join the NBA.
