Derrick Jones Jr. is going to be a free agent this offseason, after a great run with the Miami Heat. According to Barry Jackson of The Miami Herald, the Detroit Pistons and the Chicago Bulls could offer a deal to the high-flying forward.

Jones Jr. is coming off a season in which he averaged 8.5 points and 3.9 rebounds in 59 games (23.3 minutes per game) for the eventual Eastern Conference champions.

He also was a great defender keeping his opponents to 40.8 percent. Jackson also refers to Atlanta as a potential suitor for Jones.

Jones Jr. was an important rotational player in the regular season, but during the playoffs, his minutes dropped for several reasons including various injury issues.
