Re-signing Fred VanVleet is the top target of the Toronto Raptors in the 2020 offseason.

Per Tim Bontemps of ESPN, the Raptors want to sign a new deal with VanVleet and do so by ensuring they will have enough cap space for the 2021 offseason.

“The Raptors have two primary goals this offseason: re-sign guard Fred VanVleet, and do so without eating into their max cap space for 2021 too much,” Bontemps reports.

According to ESPN’s Bobby Marks, Toronto will seek any deal around four years and $80 million.

VanVleet was one of the best players of the Raptors and is expected to receive interest from several NBA teams.
