Josh Hart is trying to recruit Rajon Rondo back to New Orleans, as the former Lakers’ swingman called the veteran point guard one of his favorite teammates ever in his latest post on Twitter.
Hart also expressed his hope for Rondo ‘to return in Big Easy’, after playing with him in Los Angeles last season. Rondo has a player option on his current deal for the upcoming season, which is worth $2.6 million.
Several reports suggest that Rondo will opt out of his current contract and will enter free agency in search of a better deal.
The floor-general was a crucial part of the Lakers’ championship run this season and the Lakers will definitely want to keep him around.
On the other hand, nothing is a certainty during this time of the year, and Hart would definitely hope for the veteran guard to sign with the Pelicans.
