The Los Angeles Lakers are back in the NBA Finals for the first time since 2010 after taking down the Denver Nuggets (117-107) in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals.

After the game, Anthony Davis revealed that LeBron James told his teammates in the fourth quarter that it was his time. The three-time NBA champion took over the game as Denver was making a push to catch the Lakers.

“He told us it was his time. They were making a push late in the third. I think they cut it to 2. We didn’t close the third quarter the way that we wanted to and we didn’t start pretty good in the fourth. He just took over. He told us it was his time. He told me it was his time. Everybody just kinda got out of the way just let him be him. And he brought it home for us,” Davis said.

“He’s always capable of doing that. He makes the right plays. He makes the right reads. Tonight the read for him was to get to the basket and finish or make a play. All of them was a good reason. He carried us tonight to this point.”

Both Lakers superstars had a good game as James scored 38 points and Davis had 27. But, it was LeBron, at the age of 35, who stole the show as he had a triple-double with 16 rebounds and 10 assists in addition to his scoring.
