BARTON HEADING TO CEZ NYMBURK

Czech Republic international Lubos Barton has signed for Czech champions CEZ Nymburk.

MELO GOT LEAN TO RUN THE TRIANGLE OFFENCE?

New York Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony reportedly lost the weight in order to play the small forward in the triangle offence, the New York Post reports.

This would mean that Anthony would be more of a facilitator in the legendary play. Anthony: A facilitator?

“He wants to be as athletic as he was when he was a rookie,” a Anthony confidant told the New York Post. “Plus he wants to be a facilitator in the triangle and speed will help that.”

Melo’s weight-loss over this off-season has got the thumbs up from many NBA heads – most notably stick figure, Reggie Miller.

“It will prolong their career,’’ Miller told TMZ. “You carry on too much weight, it shortens longevity of a basketball player especially later on. You get up in years, it’s less wear and tear on your body. It’s actually pretty smart.’’
