Gordon Hayward returned from a nagging ankle injury to help the Boston Celtics claim their first win in the ECF series.

The Celtics’ head coach Brad Stevens was satisfied by Hayward’s contribution, after the veteran forward stayed in the game for 31 minutes.

“The wind caught up to him a couple times, but I thought he did what he does all year. He didn’t shoot it as much, but he is a stabilizing force for our team… He makes up better, that’s for sure,” Stevens said, via Jared Weiss of The Athletic.

Game 4 of the series is due to take place on Wednesday. That will give Hayward the chance to get in a better condition, after missing one month of action with an ankle injury.
