Gordon Hayward is expected to return in the Orlando “bubble” on Sunday. The star forward will quarantine for 4 days, but he is not expected to play “anytime soon”, according to Boston Celtics’ head coach Brad Stevens.

Hayward, who has been sidelined since suffering a Grade III ankle sprain in Boston’s playoff opener, was given a 4-6 week prognosis to get back in the court.

Even if Hayward recovers, the veteran forward will have to leave the “bubble” again sometime this month, when his wife gives birth to their fourth child.

He was in the midst of his best season since 2016/17, averaging 17.7 points, a career-high 6.7 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 52 games.
