Frank Vogel opened up about the Western Conference Finals matchup against the Denver Nuggets.
The head coach of the Lakers praised the Nuggets for their overall performance in the playoffs and said they will not be an easy opponent for Los Angeles.
“They deserve to be in the Western Conference Finals. They’re playing with a ton of confidence. The confidence they’re playing with, the chip on their shoulder was very noticeable.
Obviously, they’re a very resilient group. We’re going to have to play (really well) to beat them,” Vogel told reporters on Wednesday.
Game 1 between the Lakers and the Nuggets is on Friday.
