The Houston Rockets were unable to get even in the series versus the Los Angeles Lakers, but Mike D’Antoni believes his team did a good job on guarding LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

“I thought we did better. They’re great players so they’re going to score some points. But we can’t just abandon everything we’ve done and give the other guys wide open looks,” D’Antoni said, per Anthony Duckett.

The Rockets allowed the Lakers to shoot almost 49% from the field being really lethargic in defense for three quarters. They made a 17-2 run in the middle of the 4th to get back in the game, but that was not enough.

Anthony Davis was unstoppable in the paint with 29 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists, while James filled the stat sheet with 16 points, 15 rebounds and 9 assists.

Game 5 of the series is Saturday.
