Billy Donovan is expected to be a candidate for the head coaching position of the Philadelphia 76ers, per Sam Amick of The Athletic.
Donovan and the Oklahoma City Thunder mutually agreed to part ways after a very successful season. Donovan’s contract expired and the two sides decided not to extend it.
For their part, the Sixers fired head coach Brett Brown after they got swept in the first round of the 2020 playoffs by the Boston Celtics.
Aside from Donovan, Tyronn Lue will also be a candidate for the position.
