JaVale McGee suffered an ankle injury in Game 2 against the Houston Rockets on Sunday night.
The big man of the Los Angeles Lakers played just eight minutes in the game and was forced to leave the contest and will not return.
McGee was experiencing left ankle pain and it remains to be seen how serious the injury is.
The Lakers edged the Rockets in Game 2 (109-117) and tied the series (1-1).
Game 3 is on Tuesday.
