Ja Morant is the 2020 Rookie of the Year, according to Shams Charania of the Athletic. The blazing hot rookie averaged 17.8 points and 7.3 assists per game in his award winning season. Morant stood out from all rookies early and led the Memphis Grizzlies to their most relevant season since 2016-17.
The team was one game short of the postseason. Morant has showed that he’s learned a lot in his first season and the Rookie of the Year award tops off a great year.
