Jacque Vaughn impressed the Brooklyn Nets in his first formal interview for the head coaching vacancy, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Vaughn, who led the team during the seeding games and the playoffs, replaced Kenny Atkinson in March. He went 5-3 on the seeding games with a depleted Brooklyn roster.

Aside from Vaughn, the Brooklyn Nets are reportedly interested in Gregg Popovich, while the names of Jason Kidd, Ty Lue and Jeff Van Gundy have come up as possible candidates for the head coach position.

The Nets will be an “attractive” choice for any coach due to their two superstars, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, who are expected to be healthy in the start of the next season.
