Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard had his right knee re-evaluated and doctors have confirmed he suffered a mild sprain.

There is reportedly no concern long-term or anything serious to worry about with his injury, according to Shams Charania.

Lillard will have time to rest and recover and be ready for the start of the 2020-2021 NBA season, whenever it starts.

Lillard’s injury was non-contact, which is usually a worst-case scenario for an injury involving an ACL or MCL, so he got great news, all things considered.

In his case, no surgery will be required.

The 30-year-old left Game 4 of the Trail Blazers’ first round series against the Los Angeles Lakers and ultimately left the NBA “bubble” in Orlando.
