Could Gregg Popovich make the choice to leave San Antonio after 23 years? According to former San Antonio Spurs defensive specialist Bruce Bowen, yes.

Bowen said in ESPN there is more to the story of the Brooklyn Nets’ interest in the future Hall of Famer. Popovich, 74, led the Spurs to 5 NBA championships including the first-ever for the franchise back 1999.

Bowen believes that Sean Marks can really pursue coach “Pop” for the Brooklyn Nets. Marks, a former member of the Spurs front office and coaching staff, has shown his willingness to pursue big-name acquisitions.

Last summer, Marks was instrumental in Nets’ bid for signing the superstar duo of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.
