Victor Wembanyama delivered a commanding performance with 31 points, 14 rebounds, and six blocks as the San Antonio Spurs remained unbeaten, defeating the Brooklyn Nets 118–107 on Sunday night at Frost Bank Center.

The Spurs improved to 3–0, surviving a furious Nets comeback after leading by as many as 26 points. Rookie Dylan Harper added 20 points off the bench, including seven in the fourth quarter to halt Brooklyn’s late surge.

San Antonio opened sluggishly, committing four turnovers in the first three minutes as Brooklyn built a 9–2 lead. The Spurs answered with a 29–15 run to close the first quarter and took firm control by halftime.

They extended their advantage to 81–55 midway through the third quarter before the Nets responded. Brooklyn outscored San Antonio 26–7 to end the period, narrowing the margin to 88–81. A Jalen Wilson three-pointer early in the fourth gave the visitors their first lead since the opening minutes at 90–89.

From there, Wembanyama and Harper steadied the Spurs. San Antonio finished the contest on a 10–0 run, sealing their third straight victory and spoiling Brooklyn’s comeback attempt.

Cam Thomas carried the Nets with 40 points, tying Kevin Durant for third on the franchise’s all-time list with ten 40-point games. Only Vince Carter (17) and Kyrie Irving (14) have more in team history.

Michael Porter Jr. contributed 16 points, while Nic Claxton added 10 for Brooklyn, which fell to 0–3 under second-year coach Jordi Fernandez. Despite their offensive bursts, the Nets shot just 39.1% from the field and committed 11 turnovers.

San Antonio shot 50% overall and 44.4% from three-point range, highlighted by Devin Vassell’s 16 points and Julian Champagnie’s efficient 13 on 4-of-5 shooting. Harper’s composure late in the game helped the Spurs overcome a string of injuries, including De’Aaron Fox (hamstring), Jeremy Sochan (wrist), and Kelly Olynyk (heel).
