In an impressive 2020 playoff start, the Denver Nuggets took the lead in the first playoff round series vs the Utah Jazz. Nikola Jokic was crucial hitting a big shot to give Denver the advantage in the overtime.
Nikola Jokic put up 29 points with 10 rebounds and four threes, despite missing a possibly winning shot against Rudy Gobert in the regulation.
He ended up with 11-21 from the field helping the Nuggets survive Donovan Mitchell, who dropped a career high 57 points for Utah. The Nuggets took advantage of their greater depth to come out as winners in Game 1 of the series.
Game 2 will take place on Wednesday.
