The Toronto Raptors assistant coach Adrian Griffin will act as the lead coach in tonight’s game vs the Philadelphia 76ers.

According to Sportsnet’s Michael Grange, Nurse has promoted his staff as potential head coaches and this move is part of that action.

The move will allow Griffin to get his first experience as a head coach, with his name having been associated with the Chicago Bulls’ bench a couple of months back.

Griffin has served two seasons as an assistant coach for the Raptors, making stops in Milwaukee, Chicago, Orlando and Oklahoma City before arriving in Toronto in 2018.
