Jamal Crawford on signing with the Nets: “I really thought I was dreaming”

It has been more than a year since Jamal Crawford played his last NBA game. The 40-year-old guard was expected to find a new team soon after he left the Phoenix Suns at the end of the 2018-2019 season. He averaged 31 points per game in April of 2019 at the age of 39.

Despite many prominent NBA voices constantly reminding the teams about Crawford, his way back to the league was a long one. Only recently, the veteran guard signed a deal with the Brooklyn Nets. He revealed that the feeling was surreal.

“I really thought I was dreaming. It really felt like the next day like ‘that didn’t just happen right? I was just really humbled and thankful,” Crawford told ESPN’s Rachel Nichols.
