NBA players constantly speaking on social issues and racial inequality in the Orlando campus. The latest example was Jaylen Brown, who opened his statement calling for justice for Breonna Taylor.

He is also encouraged black communities all over the United States to vote, as the Boston Celtics’ forward believes in ‘small victories”, as he said.

According to the Athletic’s Jared Weiss:

Breonna Taylor was killed by the police, when three officers-Jonathan Mattingly, Brett Hankison, and Myles Cosgrove- has broken down the door of her apartment and shot her eight times, while executing a no-knock warrant.

“Taylor was killed in her apartment after plainclothes officers entered her dwelling using a no-knock warrant as part of a narcotics investigation. Taylor’s boyfriend did not realize the officers were police and shot one of the officers in the leg. The three officers opened fire, shooting Taylor eight times. Taylor was unarmed,” via Washington Examiner.
