Phoenix Suns center Aron Baynes has cleared COVID-19 protocol and is traveling to Orlando today, according to Shams Charania.

Baynes has been battling coronavirus for about a month, after experiencing fatigue as one of his main symptoms.

The 33-year-old will still have to quarantine for two days once he arrives in Orlando and return two negative coronavirus tests before joining the Suns in practice.

If all goes as planned, Baynes could be ready to suit up for the Suns’ first “seeding game” on July 31 against the Washington Wizards.

If he is ready by then, he will probably have a minutes restriction at first as he comes off the bench behind an improved Deandre Ayton.

Baynes has enjoyed a career year, averaging 11.5 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game, scoring a career-high 37 points in a game against the Portland Trail Blazers before the season was suspended.
