Ben Simmons has appeared more comfortable taking shots from the three-point line in the scrimmage game against the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Philadelphia 76ers superstar took multiple threes and made one from the corner. Simmons has admitted as a team, the Sixers are practicing to find easy shots from the corner, saying he took what the defense gave him.
According to Ky Carlin of the USA TODAY Sports:
“Just playing,” Simmons explained. “We’ve been practicing, we’ve been working to find that corner. I’m very comfortable over there and shooting those shots so I’m glad my teammates found me.”
“I think just changing my style of play,” the All-Star added. “I’m just taking what they give me. I’ve been working on the 3-ball, shooting so I’ve been feeling comfortable.”
The Australian finished the game with 9 points, 9 assists, 7 rebounds and 3 steals shooting 44% from the field.
The Sixers led with as many as 29 points over the Grizzlies, with Simmons being in the “spotlight” in an otherwise easy victory (90-83) for the 76ers.
