Sacramento Kings forward Harrison Barnes has announced that he has tested positive for coronavirus and is in quarantine.

Barnes will join the team in Orlando when he gets cleared, Shams Charania also notes.

“Prior to the team leaving last week, I tested positive for COVID-19,” Barnes said in a statement. “I hope to join my team in Orlando when it is safe to do so!”

The NBA and NBPA announced that 19 players tested positive since July 1, so Barnes was presumably one of those players.

Barnes is now the fourth Kings player to test positive, joining Buddy Hield, Jabari Parker and Alex Len.

Hield and Parker recently joined the Kings In Orlando after not originally traveling with them.

Those two players plus Barnes (once he eventually joins the team) will have to test negative twice before resuming basketball activities.
