Austin Rivers will use his jersey to honor Travyon Martin during the NBA season restart in Orlando. Martin was shot and killed back in 2012 in Sanford, Florida.

The league allowed the players to change their last names on the back of their jerseys to provide a message against racial and social injustice.

Rivers revealed his decision through a story in his Instagram account:

The Rockets’ guard was born and raised in Orlando. Like several members of the league, he expressed his motivation to become a voice against racial inequality and police brutality using his platform as an NBA player.
