Recently Paul George revealed an interesting detail about his departure from Indiana. As it turns out, PG had “the best power forward in league” wanting to join the Pacers. When George asked the team to make the trade, they refused. He took it that the Pacers didn’t want to win and asked to be traded.

George’s quote started speculations about who the player he mentioned actually was. Despite popular guess that it was Blake Griffin, it was not him. According to Pacers reporter J. Michael, Anthony Davis was prepared to join the Pacers but Indiana did not want to make the move because he wasn’t willing to commit after expiration of his contract.
