While the main storyline consists of several updates in the NBA season restart and if it should happen, considering the situation in the United States. The future of Giannis Antetokounmpo is also an up and coming storyline, as we are moving closer to the 2021 free agency.

The question of Giannis Antetokounmpo and where he will play after the 2021 season remains in several NBA teams and fans minds with various franchices rumored to be interested in the reigning MVP.

According to ESPN’s Tim Bontemps, the Milwaukee Bucks remain a likely scenario for Antetokounmpo, especially if they are still NBA title contenders.

“Milwaukee is still considered likely to keep Antetokounmpo long term, but insiders cited the potential of the salary cap dropping both this offseason and in future years as a reason Giannis might take a wait-and-see approach,” Bontemps wrote. “Still, the overriding belief is that whatever happens on the court will play the biggest role in his decision.”

The Bucks team ended up with the best regular season record last year, while they were, record-wise, the best team in the league, until the NBA had decided to halt the season due to the coronavirus pandemic early in March.

Whatever happens regarding this season, it’s too early to speculate around the future of the league’s MVP, per Bontemps.

“I always have said: Ask me once he has to make a decision,” one Eastern Conference scout said. “It all comes down to timing. So many things can change.”If they win it all, if they come through this and do that? There’s no way he’s leaving.”
