Following the injury of John DiBartolomeno, Maccabi Tel-Aviv signed Frederic Bourdillon until the end of the season. Maccabi still has to complete the season at the Israeli league and for that reason the gap DiBartolomeo’s injury left had to be covered.

“We decided to bring a good player after the injury of John Dibartolomeo in order to give us quality. A player that has the character to fight for the goals of Maccabi Fox Tel Aviv,” said coach Giannis Sfairopoulos. “I want to add that We are all with John, we all love him and wish him to come back stronger than ever.”

Frederic Bourdillon was born to a Jewish family in France. The player expressed his enthusiasm coming to Maccabi.

“For a Jewish French guy it’s the biggest accomplishment to play in Israel and for Maccabi. The biggest thing you can dream of. I want to help the team take the championship. We won’t let anyone else grab it. I know the Maccabi fans, Basketball is everything for them and we will win every game for them as like they are with us in the gym. I really hope they could be with us during the playoffs.”
