Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley both put on a show in Game 2 of the NBA Finals. It was the Chicago Bulls who came away with a 111-108 road victory over the Phoenix Suns, which gave them a 2-0 series lead.

The Bulls could not stop Barkley but the Suns could not stop Jordan. Barkley finished with 42 points, 13 rebounds and four assists. Jordan finished with 42 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists.

Chicago led for most of the game but Phoenix cut into the lead in their quarter and it remained close in the fourth quarter.

A key factor in the game was the strong play of Scottie Pippen. He had a triple-double with 15 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists. He also had a crucial block and rebound late in the fourth quarter to preserve Chicago’s lead.

For the Suns, star point guard Kevin Johnson struggled. He finished with just four points on 2-8 shooting and fouled out of the game.

The loss was devastating for Phoenix, as they dropped the first two games of the series at home. They battled back to win Game 3 in Chicago but the bulls prevailed in six games. It was their third consecutive championship.
